Fall is upon us, which means it’s time for some fall wedding decor inspiration and nothing says fall like pumpkins! show your guests that pumpkins are not just meant for halloween and with some easy DIY magic, you can transform this orange squash into an elegant centrepiece/table number.
What you’ll need:
2 small pumpkins (we used a small casper pumpkin and a small cinderella pumpkin)
1 can of white spray paint
1 can of gold spray paint
1 can of gold sparkle spray paint (optional)
1 small sheet of gold sparkle vinyl
masking tape
news paper
damp paper towel
Instructions:
take a piece of damp paper towel and clean the outside of the pumpkins to make sure there is no dirt or debris. let the pumpkins dry.take the masking tape and cover the stems of the pumpkins (this is to prevent the spray paint from colouring the stems).spread the newspaper on the ground in a well ventilated area.spray paint one of the pumpkins white (casper pumpkin) and the other pumpkin (cinderella pumpkin) gold on the news paper. you will need a few layers (typically 2-3) to completely cover the pumpkins. if you are using gold sparkle spray paint, ensure that the gold paint has dried before applying this.using a die-cutting machine, such as circuit or silhouette, cut out the table number on the gold sparkle vinyl. if you do not have one of these machines, you can use number punches or if you are really careful and have a steady hand, you can always use a cutting mat and an Exacto knife to cut out desired numbers.once the paint is dry on the white casper pumpkin, carefully stick the vinyl sticker onto the pumpkin.
Voila! you have your easy pumpkin decor! If you want something more luxurious, incorporate some florals with the pumpkins to make a very elegant, very easy diy fall inspired decor arrangement!
